The Edmonton Chapter of the IIA has over 275 members representing major industry, government and public practice in Edmonton and northern Alberta.  The chapter is an  IIA Platinum  Award winner for overall excellence and has recently hosted a very successful Western Regional Conference in 2005.

Did you know that attaining one of the IIA speciality certifications gives you an automatic exemption for Part 4 of the CIA exam? The CGAP, CFSA and CCSA certifications are one part only exams which give you this CIA advantage and also enhance your value and marketability to existing and new employers. Computer Based Testing (CBT)

Computer Base Testing (CBT) has been available for IIA exams since April 2008.

TESTING CENTRES
As of October 31, 2008  Alberta based members can write the IIA exams in Edmonton, Red Deer, and Calgary Alberta.  

·          Pearson VUE administers the IIA’s exams in a computer-based format at IIA-authorized Pearson VUE testing centers throughout the world. To locate a full list of IIA-authorized testing centers, visit the Pearson VUE Web site at http://www.pearsonvue.com/iia and click on “Locate a test center.”

·          Candidates are allowed to take their exam at any IIA-authorized Pearson VUE testing center worldwide, regardless of whether the testing center is located in their hometown or country.

REGISTERING FOR AN EXAM
Candidates may apply/register for certification exams using the IIA's Certification Candidate Management System (CCMS).   Visit the IIA’s Web site at www.theiia.org/certification for full details on the Computer Based testing program and to register for exams through the CCMS system.
